Privacy notice

Sunbird Operations and Maintenance (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2024/234234/07, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. Its address is Unit 9, Wow Business Park, Gourly Road, Ballito, 4420. It is a separate company from Sunbird Solar (Pty) Ltd. This notice covers this website and the requests made through it.

When you request a site assessment, we collect what you enter in the form:

• your name, organisation and, if you give it, your role;
• your email address and, if you give it, your phone number;
• how many sites you have, and how you prefer to be contacted;
• anything you write in the message.

When you call or WhatsApp us, we may note your name, number and the reason for your message.

We use these details only to respond to your request and to arrange and carry out a site assessment. We process them with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and you may withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell personal information or use it for direct marketing without separate consent.

We share personal information only with operators who process it on our behalf under a written agreement, such as our website host.

Enquiries sent through the form on this site are stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc., on servers outside South Africa, and emailed to Sunbird O&M.

Where an operator stores information outside South Africa, we do so only where POPIA permits it.

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose above.

This site is served over an encrypted connection. We limit access to personal information to the people who need it to respond to your request.

Under POPIA you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a copy of it;
• correct or delete it;
• stop processing it, or withdraw your consent.

This site does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers.
